Town Hall Restaurant, a local favorite and San Francisco culinary institution since 2003, is opening for outdoor dining, take-out and delivery on Wednesday, September 9, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, the venue closed along with so many SF restaurants in March. Owners and Executive Chefs Mitchell and Steven Rosenthal along with their staff put forth an effort to reopen in accordance with the latest city guidelines to ensure longtime patrons and new diners a safe and healthy dining environment.

Town Hall reopens with a newly remodeled outdoor patio and an expanded seating area in the adjacent plaza for 850 square feet of open-air dining space with a maximum capacity of 50 diners. Outdoor music, twinkle lights, plants, heaters, and a generous serving of Southern hospitality welcome back diners to Town Hall.

A pillar of the casual fine dining scene in the East Cut neighborhood, Town Hall opens with a brand-new menu in tribute to the recent and permanent closure of K- Paul’s Louisiana Kitchen, the 40-year-old famed New Orleans restaurant founded by the late, legendary Chef Paul Prudhomme — a mentor to Chef/Owner Mitchell Rosenthal. Featured dishes on the brunch and dinner menus commemorating Prudhomme, include:

Garlic Shrimp (tagliatelle pasta, crispy tasso, spicy parmesan cream), Bronzed King Salmon (roasted artichokes, sweet corn spoon bread, pecan Meunière), Slow Roasted Muscovy Duck (dirty rice, late summer stone fruit), Blackened Rib Eye (brown butter garlic sauce, French fries), Shrimp & Crawfish Gumbo (okra, scallions, Carolina gold rice), BBQ Gulf Shrimp (Worcestershire sauce, garlic herb toast), Cajun Popcorn Shrimp (arugula, green beans, peanuts, ham, harissa benne vinaigrette), Jalapeño Cornbread (honey butter), Andouille Sausage (Jambalaya), and Crispy Fried Okra (house remoulade).

Like many restaurants, Town Hall has felt the tremendous impact of COVID-19 and together with its loyal and amazing team is jumping at the opportunity to reemerge in full force with safety concerns at the forefront. Located in the heart of downtown where most businesses have employees working remotely from home, Town Hall encourages diners to support them with a visit for a lovely dining experience with well-distanced tables and a chance to re-engaged with family, friends, and the greater community while enjoying delicious Southern comfort foods.

Alongside their outdoor dining, Town Hall also offers a take-out menu for curbside or in-house pickup through their website, www.townhallsf.com, and delivery services such as DoorDash, Postmates or Caviar.

The restaurant offers dinner service Wednesday through Sunday from 5pm- 9pm, and with a surprise twist, a brunch service for the first time on Friday through Sunday from 10:30am – 2:30pm.
