T-Mobile is going to bat for baseball fans and our nation’s military. As the official wireless provider of Major League Baseball, the company is taking #HatsOff4Heroes to the next level at this year’s Home Run Derby. The Un-carrier will donate $5k per home run and $10k per home run off a magenta ball to Team Rubicon, a veteran-led disaster response organization.

Fans score big too during All-Star Week, July 13–17, with a Home Run Derby bracket challenge, free custom hats, behind the scenes access, and chances to meet MLB players and win tickets to the Derby.

“Last year’s T-Mobile Home Run Derby was the most watched in the last decade and the most streamed MLB ESPN event ever. This year, we’re going all-in with #HatsOff4Heroes in support of our nation’s military and veterans at the Derby,” said John Legere, T-Mobile president and CEO. “And at the Un-carrier, we take ‘we won’t stop’ seriously – we’re dialing it up this year with an Armed Services Classic, free custom hats for fans, Derby ticket giveaways and more — we’re gonna make All-Star Week one for the record books!”

T-Mobile has been expanding its extensive military support all year, first launching T-Mobile ONE Military and its companywide military initiative. Earlier this year, T-Mobile launched a campaign pledging to donate at least $1 million to Team Rubicon, starting with $1 per every #HatsOff4Heroes tweet and Instagram post through the regular MLB season.

Following the championship game of the inaugural Armed Services Classic tournament on July 13, one representative from each of the five military branches will compete in a home run contest held at Nationals Park. The Un-carrier will donate another $300k total ($50k to a charity supporting each military branch) to mark the event, and the two home run contest finalists will get the chance to hit alongside the pros at the T-Mobile Home Run Derby on July 16 – with the winner getting an additional $50k donated to their branch’s respective cause.
