As summer starts to wind down, you still have time to enjoy classic eateries and discover new ones during NYC Restaurant Week. New York City’s history-making program runs now through August 17.
August is also time to enjoy National Oyster Day (8/5). Check the options below and make the end of summer a time to remember.
For Restaurant Week Celebrate the city that’s always making culinary moves with 2-course lunches and 3-course dinners for $30, $45 or $60* at restaurants across all five boroughs—including special Founded by NYC items that pay tribute to the flavors that helped shape the city we love.
Here’s a round up of stand-out dining options worth considering.
Palermo Argentinian Bistro Gramercy, located on a charming, tree-lined stretch of Irving Place, is the sister restaurant to the original Hell’s Kitchen location. This Restaurant Week, the Argentine steakhouse–featuring time-honored flavors, Buenos Aires flair, and warm hospitality–will offer a three-course prix fixe dinner menu for $60 per person.
Menu highlights include, but are not limited to:
- Ceviche Rojo, octopus, shrimp, white fish, cilantro, red onion, and jalapeño, accompanied by tostadas
- NY Strip Milanese served with mashed potatoes puree, green salad, and saffron aioli or Napolitana style (+$7) with tomato sauce, ham and mozzarella
- Flan con Dulce de Leche, a combination of two beloved classics
Hours of Operation are:
Sunday – Thursday: 4 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Friday: 4 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
Saturday: 2 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
Palermo Argentinian Bistro Gramercy also presents the following trio of oyster selections:
- Oysters East & West (MP) – served on the half shell with cocktail sauce, horseradish, and yuzu mignonette
- Oyster Shooters ($6) – briny, bold, and perfectly chilled
- Seafood Tower (MP) – a show-stopping selection of oysters and other oceanic favorites

Looking for acclaimed Sichuan, CHILI in Midtown, Manhattan welcomes guests to indulge in authentic flavors and an immersive vintage atmosphere. This is a heartfelt tribute to Sichuan’s rich culinary heritage. Leading the kitchen is Michelin Star Executive Chef-Partner Peter He, whose cooking reflects the essence of Sichuan cuisine–bold, balanced, and deeply expressive.
This Restaurant Week, CHILI offers a two-course lunch menu for $30, including one appetizer and one entree with rice. For dinner, a three-course $60 offer is available, including one appetizer and two entrees with rice.
Menu highlights include, but are not limited to:
- Chungking Spicy Chicken, stir-fried diced chicken with red chili peppers
- Shredded Beef with Green Chili, a classic and beloved Sichuan stir fry
- Vegetable Potstickers (6 pcs), cabbage, mushroom, mustard greens and vermicelli wrapped in a thin dough
Also available is an optional Drink & Dessert Package for $16.25 which includes one specialty cocktail and one dessert.
Cocktails include but are not limited to:
- Bubble Dream (non-alcoholic available), Meili vodka, rose water and cranberry juice topped with a smoky bubble
- Misty Rain, gin, Longjing tea, and pear syrup garnished with Longjing leaves
Featured Desserts include Crispy Coconut Milk, wheat flour, corn starch, and coconut syrup.

Wonderland Bar is an East Village gem serving bites also created by Michelin-starred Executive Chef-Partner Peter He. The menu offers a vibrant take on Sichuan-inspired street food, designed to complement the bar’s playful energy.
This Restaurant Week, Wonderland Bar is featuring a two-course prix fixe menu featuring two appetizers and two entrees for only $40, with the option to add signature cocktails and desserts for an extra charge.
Menu highlights include:
- Beef Noodle Soup, traditional Sichuan style spicy beef stew
- Chicken Skewers fried with red-pepper drizzle
- Fried Cheese served with passionfruit jam
Hours of Operation are:
Sunday, Tuesday: 3 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Wednesday – Saturday: 5 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.

For National Oyster Day (8/5) consider these options:
ATIK is a refined Mediterranean newcomer on City Island’s waterfront, offering modern elegance with sweeping views of Eastchester Bay. A venture from restaurateur Rafael Robles (Vistamar) and City Island native Josh DeCuffa, ATIK brings elevated vibes and a special dock-and-dine experience to a setting unlike any other in New York.
Executive Chef José Castillo’s oyster offerings include:
- New England Oysters (half a dozen, $22) – served on the half shell with a crisp prosecco mignonette, cocktail sauce
- Seafood Tower ($72) – an eye-catching centerpiece comprised of fresh oysters, within a bountiful assortment of chilled shellfish, perfect for sharing

ISHQ, a casual fine-dining Indian restaurant in the heart of the East Village, brings vibrant regional Indian flavors to life through elevated technique and boundary-pushing creativity. Led by Executive Chef and Owner Vamshi Adi, ISHQ has earned Michelin’s Bib Gourmand designation for its artful take on tradition. Chef Vamshi’s Oyster offering features the following bold, flavorful celebration of spice and texture:
- Lahsooni Oyster ($25) – fresh oysters baked with chili garlic butter, melted Amul cheese, crispy sooji rusk crumbs, and a garnish of fresh chives

Kansha is Executive Chef and Owner, Jorge Dionicio’s harmonious fusion of his native Peruvian cuisine with Japanese culinary artistry. From Chef Jorge’s menu:
- Fresh Seasonal Oysters with Peruvian Mignonette (MP) – a clean, elegant preparation featuring pristine oysters paired with a bright, citrusy mignonette inspired by the bold flavors of Peru.

Blu on the Hudson brings a New York City-style dining experience to the waterfront in Weehawken, New Jersey, which features stunning views of the Hudson River and Manhattan skyline. Only a 5-minute picturesque ferry ride from Manhattan and a short walk from the ferry, Executive Chef J.C. Ortega has created a bold seafood-centric menu with an extensive raw bar selection.
In honor of National Oyster Day, Blu will be offering guests: Blu’s Signature East Coast Oysters (6pcs for $24/12 pcs for $46), which are half dressed with green tomato vinaigrette and served with tomato granita on the side; and Gold Kumamoto Oysters (6pcs for $36), served naked with lime white ponzu and Blu’s cocktail sauce.

At Hortus NYC, the beloved, design-forward Asian fusion restaurant in NoMad, premium oysters are offered on a menu that seeks to reimagine the Asian dining experience, featuring the finest selections from both coasts. Curated by Co-Owner and General Manager Suhum Jang, the oysters available are:
