Tequila HERRADURA Cocktails for Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo has become the “unofficial day” to celebrate Mexican culture and heritage in the US, and tequila as the heart and soul of Mexico is a must in this celebration.
For that reason we bring you a few cocktail recipes and cinco interesting facts about the authentic Mexican tequila HERRADURA:
1. Casa Herradura continues to use traditional and artisanal methods, such as slowly cooking the agave hearts in traditional clay ovens and natural fermentation; resulting in 100% agave tequila
2. Herradura is credited with the introduction of the world’s first-ever reposado and extra añejo tequilas
3. Herradura is made in Casa Herradura located in the birthplace of Tequila in Amatitán, Jalisco, Mexico. This is one of the last tequila-producing haciendas on the planet and it is one of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

5. Due to its variety of expressions and quality, HERRADURA is a great option for sipping or cocktails.
Ingredients
- · 2 oz Herradura Silver
- · ½ oz pickle juice
- · 2 oz Tomato juice
- · ½ oz Orange juice
- · ½ lemon juice
- · ½ oz lime juice
- · Large bar spoon of horseradish
- · ¼ oz Cholula sauce
- · 4 large dashes of Tabasco
- · ½ oz Worcestershire sauce
- · ½ oz red wine
Directions
- · Combine all ingredients together in a large cocktail shaker, stir and strain into a large glass filled with cubed ice. Garnish with a cayenne salted pickle and a lemon wedge.
Herradura Sour
Ingredients
- · 1½ oz Herradura Silver
- · ½ oz Averna
- · ¾ oz lemon juice
- · ½ oz Simple Syrup
- · ½ oz Egg white
- · Dash angostura bitters
Directions
- · Add all ingredients to a empty cocktail shaker, shake to combine ingredient and emulsify egg white. Add cubed ice to the shaker and shake hard, strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with a dash of angostura and a mint leaf.
Ingredients
- · 2oz Herradura Silver
- · ¾oz Red pepper juice
- · ½oz Lime Juice
- · ¼ oz Cholula hot sauce
- · ¼ oz Agave nectar
Directions
- · Rim a coupe glass with cayenne pepper and salt mix Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker, shake hard and pour into the chilled coupe glass.
