The world’s #1 tequila brand Jose Cuervo is showing Chicago the sustainable power of agave. The Jose Cuervo Agave Bar, a bar made completely from repurposed agave byproduct, is coming to the Windy City for a limited time on Friday, September 16 and Saturday, September 17.

Last year, the brand introduced the world’s first-ever bar made entirely from repurposed agave in L.A. —and now, the 100% agave byproduct bar is making its second-ever venture to Chicago.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of exciting activities that will enrich their understanding of the importance of agave and drinking more sustainably including: sustainably upgraded cocktail recipes served in glassware made from agave, free agave-made swag, including clothing and accessories, and live musical performances and delectable Mexican dishes.

Cuervo is bringing the Agave Bar to life the Chicago way, working with several local talents for different touchpoints throughout the event:

  • ART: Cuervo has enlisted artist Liz Flores to create a mural located across the street from the event. Flores is a Chicago-based artist with work appearing throughout the U.S.
  • FOOD: A rotating menu of Mexican dishes inspired by Jalisco will be available to guests, co collaborated by notable Chicago chefs including John (Juan) Zaragoza of Birrieria Zaragoza, Clementina Flores of Sol de Mexico, Bertha Garcia of Xocomo Antojeria and Chef Ricardo Ramirez, Chef Marco S. Tapia and Chef Chris Miller of Big Star.
  • MUSIC: Chicago-based DJs will perform sets all night long, with a rotating line-up from notable Chicago artists including Felix Da HousecatNEZStefan Ponce and other special guests from across the country.
