The Latin Recording Academy announced its 2026 Leading Ladies of Entertainment honorees. The program, created ten years ago, honors and recognizes professional and socially conscious women in the arts and Latin entertainment fields who have made significant contributions and inspired future leaders.
This year’s honorees are:
-
María Fernández, Chief Operating Officer of Sony Music Entertainment Latin Iberia
-
Sandra Jiménez, Regional Director and Head of Music for Latin America and U.S. Latin at YouTube
-
Salomé Limón, producer, composer, sound engineer and five-time Latin GRAMMY winner
-
María Rosa García “Niña Pastori”, singer/songwriter, six-time Latin GRAMMY winner and GRAMMY nominee
“I am extremely proud to honor this year’s distinguished group of women as we celebrate the tenth anniversary of The Leading Ladies of Entertainment event,” said Manuel Abud, CEO of The Latin Recording Academy. “This initiative, which began as a recognition program, has evolved into a meaningful platform for raising awareness about gender disparities in the industry, and continues to foster mentorship and networking opportunities for future generations of female leaders.”
The private event to celebrate this year’s honorees will take place during Latin GRAMMY Week in Las Vegas, with Amazon Music joining as presenting sponsor for the third consecutive year. Amazon Music is also donating to the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation’s Scholarship Fund in support of future Latin music makers.
“We’re excited to continue supporting The Latin Recording Academy’s Leading Ladies of Entertainment and to celebrate the incredible women making an impact across Latin music and culture,” said Rocío Guerrero, Director of Music, Latin-Iberia at Amazon Music. “This year’s honorees embody the creativity, leadership and passion moving our industry forward. Through this initiative, our work with the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation’s Scholarship Fund, and our own Amazon Music programs like The Women Shaping Latin Music this year, celebrating the female pioneers who changed Latin music, today’s leading artists, and the voices shaping what comes next, we’re proud to help create opportunities for the next generation of women in music, while amplifying their voices and perspectives. At Amazon Music, we believe in celebrating Latin talent and championing the people shaping what comes next.”
This year’s class, along with past honorees, are invited to become mentors of the Leading Ladies of Entertainment Mentorship Program, hosted by the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation. Paying-it-forward and forging opportunities for future generations of women in the industry are core pillars of this program, along with the Leading Ladies Symposium and Fireside Chat series. Moira Noriega will serve as executive producer of the Leading Ladies of Entertainment event, working under the direction of The Latin Recording Academy’s production team led by Ayleen Figueras.
