Warm Weather Cocktails To Prepare At Home

Shed your layers and welcome spring with these refreshing warm weather cocktails.  Prominent New York City bartender Ben Rojo from hotspots Freehand and Angel’s Share uses Don Papa Rum, the small batch premium rum from the Philippines, to craft delicious cocktails you can easily duplicate at home.

Pillow Talk (above)
For a sophisticated take, step up your rosé game, and try Pillow Talk! Combine ingredients with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a tall glass filled with rose petals and ice, then fill with tonic water.

Ingredients:
1 oz Don Papa Rum
1.5 oz fresh grapefruit juice
.25 oz St-Germain
1 dash rose water

Nick of Thyme
Herbal and light with hints of sweetness, the Nick of Thyme is easy to drink and makes for the perfect mid-afternoon pick me up. Combine all ingredients in a shaker, add ice and shake vigorously. Finely strain into a large rocks glass over ice and garnish with a slice of fresh kiwi.

Ingredients:
1.5 oz Don Papa Rum
0.5 oz fresh kiwi puree
0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
0.5 oz agave nectar
0.25 oz thyme liqueur

Tickled Pink
This light and cool cocktail has only five ingredients and is balanced and refreshing – perfect for any outdoor party!

Ingredients:
1.5 oz Don Papa Rum
0.5 oz rhubarb shrub
0.5 oz raw honey
0.25 oz fresh lemon juice
1 dash celery bitters

Combine all ingredients in a shaker, add ice and shake vigorously.
Strain into a large rocks glass over ice, add a splash of ginger beer, and garnish with a sprig of fresh basil.
