WORLD Channel Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with Exciting Programming

This October, WORLD Channel delivers compelling films for viewers, reporting on public media’s  American Graduate Initiative and shares voices and stories of Hispanic Heritage Month.

“WORLD places a focus on equality in education, Hispanic heritage, and LGBT history and conversations year-round,” says Chris Hastings, executive producer, WORLD Channel. “We hope audiences will be inspired to understand and explore the topics and issues these unique films document.”

Overcomers (Gabriela Lopez de Dennis) highlights two teenagers succeeding despite the odds stacked against them.

Every Girl Matters (Gloria Moran) looks at an all-girls Catholic high school with a 100 percent graduation and college acceptance rate.
