Popular among the young Hollywood set, men’s suiting brand GRAYSCALE gives the future of fashion to us again this season with hints of global military inspired pieces for Fall/Winter ’23.

With the clean lines, colors, fit, and interchangeability of the pieces, Brandon Gray (“BJ”), designer/founder of Grayscale, took his time in making sure that the first collection he made, specifically with individual pieces, felt like it was all made in unison. We used a lot of military and army greens as well as silhouettes to give a stylized militant feel to some of the pieces, even allowing for “blousing” some of the trousers into boots and keeping all the way true to the military style.”, says BJ.

In the last few months alone his designs (both mens and womens) have been worn by the likes of Karrueche Tran, Daniel Kaluuya, Billy Eichner, Yvonne Orji, Maluma, Jamilla Jamil, Common, and Jay Ellis.

Houndstooth, metallic striping, mosaics, zig-zags, plaids and watercolor brushstroke prints all give the collection depth with eye-catching pieces.  BJ also incorporated lush suedes (with fringe), woolens and silky sateens in this seasons collection.
In Europe, they are not afraid to play with colors and prints and Grayscale does that to perfection.  The brand also pulled from Scottish history by introducing removable “half kilt skorts”.  Taking things a step further, the removable “half kilt” has also been added to men’s long pant suiting bottoms giving a bit of a “whirling dervish” effect as you turn.

This collection is also the first time that he used denim in his line.  “With the direction that the fashion world is moving towards, we wanted to make sure that we were on par while still staying true to our originality.”, says BJ.
