Rado has reinvented the shape they’re best known for to meet the needs of 21st century watch wearers. The True Square launches worldwide with 15 eye-catching new references in 2020. Designed to look good for a lifetime, the new watch is made using ultra-pure Rado high-tech ceramic in black, white and plasma. This is the next generation of Rado classic design.
Smooth, light and comfortable to wear, the True Square meets every Rado requirement. The secret is in the technology.
When Rado first made the Ceramica– the brand’s most popular square watch – back in 1990, they could only manipulate the ceramic by pressing it. It was this technique that led to the distinctive black, shiny, square design.
Now, 30 years later, they’re able to create a square monobloc case using our pioneering injection molding technology. Featuring a full high-tech ceramic case and bracelet construction, the True Square is an enduring piece, designed to stand the test of time, to look good, and to speak to a new generation that is looking to buy less but buy better.
Rado is also offering a clear view of the C07 movement with 80-hour power reserve through the beautifully crafted dial, the True Square Open Heart. In fact, it’s the only square, high-tech ceramic watch with a skeleton dial you’ll find.
The movement and movement holder feature some of the best-loved traditional watchmakers’ decorations and the jewels that reduce friction are there for all to see.
Being able to see the movement is a unique experience for watch enthusiasts, who can lose hours fascinated by the precise movement, the coiling and uncoiling of the balance spring, the gentle click of the cogs and wheels all turning in micro scale. It’s a great reminder that time is truly precious. Black and plasma keep it understated while white goes all out with the addition of 12 twinkling diamonds for indexes.
