MSX for NFL, part of The Michael Strahan Brand, founded by long-time business partners Michael Strahan and Constance Schwartz-Morini, has announced a new collaboration with the lifestyle brand, Starter, owned by Iconix Brand Group, alongside Carl Banks, former Giants linebacker and President of G-III Apparel Group’s Sports Licensing Division, the manufacturing partner for the Starter brand. The MSX for NFL x Starter collection elevates core MSX and Starter styles while capturing the experience of the Super Bowl LVI taking place in Los Angeles this year.
MSX, known for its casual lifestyle and work leisure apparel, partnered with G-III Apparel in 2020 to launch an exclusive, limited-edition Super Bowl LVI capsule collection in celebration of the NFL’s 100th season. Drawing from this success, Strahan and G-III Apparel Group teamed up in 2021 with The NFL Consumer Products Division to expand the line with the dedicated apparel for all 32 NFL teams. With football’s biggest game set to be played in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 13, former teammates Strahan and Banks look to fuse their brand elements once again and celebrate the Super Bowl through a bold and fresh MSX x Starter Collaboration produced by G-III.
“The Super Bowl was a significant moment in my career, and since Los Angeles is hosting this year, we knew as a brand that we wanted to go even bigger with our NFL Licensed gameday apparel. We designed loud and proud prints and patterns to represent our excitement,” said Strahan. “Starter has created must-have items for die-hard sports fans for a long time, which is why we’re excited to collaborate with Carl and the team at G-III to help create a unique MSX for NFL collection that represents true LA style and swag.”
“Starter has been a pioneer of sports and fashion within the retail industry for decades,” said Banks. “Bringing this unique collaboration to one of the biggest sports stages in the world with my former teammate and now business partner is an absolute thrill for me and G-III. We are excited to continue to build this partnership and the Michael Strahan brand.”
The collection will include limited edition varsity jackets ($195- $220), track jackets ($135-$155), hoodies ($120), T-shirts ($50-$75) and women’s varsity jackets ($185). Curated by New Jersey-based graphic artist, Brian Begly, the collection was envisioned through the lens of the Los Angeles aesthetic, with unique styles that include the breathtaking Los Angeles sunset and iconic Hollywood skyline.
The collection will be available February 5th online and in stores at Sheikh, Fanatics/NFL Shop, Dick’s Sporting Goods and at The NFL Experience in Los Angeles. Follow @michaelstrahanbrand for specific sales dates and exclusive information.
