Now that we’ve hit peak summer, we’re bringing you cool cocktails from Appleton Estate rum, and bourbon brands Longbranch, Russell’s Reserve and Wild Turkey.  

The best summer cocktails are as easy to make as they are delicious. Below are unique summer cocktail recipes  – perfect for beating the heat indoors or out, and for any dapper or casual occasion.  

Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum (above)
Summer Cocktail: 12 Year Old Blue Mountain Serve 

 Ingredients 

• 2 parts Appleton Estate 12 Year Old Rare Casks 
• 12 Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee Beans 

Directions 

• Lightly muddle coffee beans (crack beans only, do not grind) 
• Stir muddled beans with rum over ice 
• Strain rum into double old-fashioned glass over one large ice cube 
• Garnish with 3-4 whole beans 

Russell’s Reserve Bourbon
Summer Cocktail: The Bear Necessities 

 Ingredients 

• 1.5 oz Russell’s Reserve 10 Year Bourbon 
• 0.5 oz Simple Syrup 
• 0.5 oz Lime 
• Healthy Bar Spoon of Homemade Fig Jam 

 Directions 

• Give it a strong shake with ice to break up the jam 
• Double strain out any leftover seeds 
• Add a splash of soda 
• Lastly, garnish 

Longbranch Bourbon
Summer Cocktail: Branch Water  

Ingredients 

• 2 parts Longbranch Bourbon 
• Juice of half a lime 
• Top with sparkling water 

Wild Turkey Bourbon
Summer Cocktail: Paper Plane  

Ingredients 

• ¾ part Wild Turkey Bourbon 
• ¾ part fresh squeezed lemon juice 
• ¾ part Amaro 
• ¾ part Aperol 

 Directions 

• Add all ingredients to shaker with ice
• Shake, and strain into rocks glass
• Garnish with lemon
