A memorable event was held in New York City celebrating the 2024 VALORANT Champions Tour Americas finals.  The event crowned Leviatán, the Argentinian esports team, champions of a thrilling and action-packed competition after a 3-1 victory against G2 Esports. This win marks the advancement of the professional team to the VALORANT Champions Seoul, the biggest event of the year to be held in August, representing the Americas region alongside runners-up Sentinels, KRÜ Sports, and G2 Sports.

To celebrate the final match, Riot Games organized The Valorant Block Parties attracting thousands of fans in Los Angeles, New York, Mexico City, and São Paulo. The enthusiastic followers joined the celebrations, which included hands-on experiences for the eagerly awaited VALORANT on console, among other disruptive experiences.

For the first time ever, VALORANT came to New York City, hosting the VALORANT Block Party at the breathtaking Pier 17. Attendees enjoyed a whole experience from start to finish, including murals, videos, photo ops, and a chance to relive the best moments of VCT Americas in a new and exciting way.

The Block Party broke the mold of traditional esports events with community interactions and a meet and greet with Tarik, the popular US VALORANT streamer. Zelina Vega, the renowned WWE wrestler, also made a special appearance at the event, captivating the community with her passion for gaming and adding an extra layer of excitement to the event.

This event marked a significant milestone for VALORANT enthusiasts on the East Coast. “These four events simultaneously mark a milestone for VALORANT Esports, not only because we gathered a large audience, it is the VALORANT community eager to support and witness their favorite teams. It is the first time we had a physical presence in New York City, which embodies the essence and DNA of VALORANT: multicultural, inclusive and diverse,” said Dillon Bucker, Principal Publishing Manager at Riot Games.

The VALORANT Champions Seoul will conclude the 2024 VCT season, bringing together top professional teams and thousands of VALORANT fans for the biggest event of the year. The tournament starts on August 1 at the COEX ShinhanCard Artium in South Korea and will run through August 25. The best teams will compete for the Champions Trophy, and the World Champion will be crowned at the INSPIRE Arena.
