The Standard Biergarten Partners with Blackbird for Monthly Residency

Following this summer’s successful collaboration, a familiar favorite is checking in for an extended stay –  The Standard Biergarten is teaming up again with Ben Leventhal’s latest venture Blackbird for a monthly winter residency from October to March, bringing cult favorites from across the river, country, and ocean to the Meatpacking District to show New Yorkers what they’ve been missing.

From October to March, The Standard, High Line’s popular beer garden will buzz with a selection of specialty menu items from Mission Chinese, Border Town, and Mini Kabob, available for one weekend. The schedule and menus for 2024 below:

BLACKBIRD RESIDENCY AT THE STANDARD BIERGARTEN 2024

Sat, Oct 26 & Sun, Oct 27: Danny Bowien and Mission Chinese brings his game-changing Chinese-American grub back to The Standard for one weekend only.

○        CHONGQING CHICKEN WINGS

■       with Mala Fries, Sichuan Peppercorn Ranch

○        ADDICTIVE CABBAGE SALAD

■       with Secret Sesame Dressing

○        CRISPY SHRIMP & PORK DUMPLINGS

Sat, Nov 9 & Sun, Nov 10: Border Town’s small batch tacos and Sonoran style handmade flour tortillas have a cult following.

○        GRINGA

■       Handmade Flour Tortilla, Mushroom Al Pastor, Queso Chihuahua, Pineapple-Habanero Salsa (*vegetarian option*)

○        TACO DE GUISADO

■       Handmade Flour Tortilla, Carne con Chile, Pickled Red Onion, Cilantro, Salsa Roja (signature item)

○        SPICY BEAN DIP

■       Refried Pinto Beans, Queso Chihuahua, Salsa Macha, served with Totopos

Fri, Dec 6 – Sun, Dec 8: Mini Kabob, the hole-in-the-wall kebob shop-turne- LA phenomenon decamps for a weekend in NYC for the first time.

To gain entry, you’ll need to download Blackbird and add a payment card on file in the Blackbird app. Simply check-in when you arrive and enjoy the winter bites and brews.

STANDARD BIERGARTEN:

Tucked under the trestles of the High Line, The Biergarten is The Standard, High Line’s bustling, street-level beer garden serving traditional German fare.
