There is still plenty of time to enjoy New York City Restaurant Week which comes to a close August 18.  Here are a few options to consider:

Kintsugi Omakase, is an understated, fashionable sushi atelier tucked away in Soho. The small jewel box sushi counter seats 10 and will be offering Restaurant Week diners a 12-course prix fixe menu for $60 per person with an optional seasonal sake flight for an additional $30 per person. Guests can add-on a premium seasonal uni handroll for $30 per person.

Although the menu is subject to change due to availability and seasonality, highlights include:

  • Housemade Japanese Potato Salad w/ Arctic Sweet Shrimp
  • Orata/Seabream from Greece
  • Hotate/Scallop from Hokkaido Japan
  • Sawara/Spanish Mackerel from North Carolina
  • Akami Zuke/Soy Marinated Lean Tuna
  • Uni/Sea Urchin from Hokkaido

Kintsugi will be open for lunch Friday – Sunday from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. and for dinner Monday – Sunday from 5 p.m. – 11 p.m. (closed on Wednesday). Seating times will be every hour and reserved for 60 minutes.

Pineapple ClubEast Village’s celebrated swanky tiki-themed cocktail bar and restaurant will be deploying a 3-course prix-fixe dinner menu for NYC’s summer restaurant week, priced at $45 per guest. Served from 5 p.m. – 11 p.m., diners will have the option to mix and match dishes from Executive Chef Timothy Silva’s (formerly of Jean-Georges Mercer Kitchen) menu of globally inspired plates.

Starters include Mahi Mahi ceviche, Peruvian mahi mahi with tigers coconut milk, pineapple, and sweet potato noodles topped with lime zest and served with crispy tortilla chips.

Entrées feature New York Strip Steak with chimichurri and yucca fries served with spicy lime ketchup, as well as a Tropical

Hawaiian Tuna Poke Bowl with pineapple mango salsa, papaya, crispy fried plantain, cucumbers, and wild sea beans.

Desserts are a refreshing Key Lime Pie or Kiwi and Coconut Sorbet Sundae.

Casa Bond, with a vibrant Tulum-inspired atmosphere and some of the best Mexican cuisine in NYC, will offer a three-course prix fixe dinner menu for Restaurant Week priced at $60 per person. 

Menu highlights include, but are not limited to:

  • Ceviche de Coco, fluke, coconut milk, Fresno chili, jalapeño, red onions, and canchita maíz
  • Gobernador, shrimp and steak on a flour tortilla, chihuahua cheese, tomato, and poblano
  • Pollo Borracho, pan seared semi boneless half chicken, negra Modelo beer and butter reduction, and cremini mushrooms
  • Vegano, steak cauliflower, wild rice, kale, carrot purée, and pumpkin pepitas

Hortus NYC, NoMad’s fashionable Asian restaurant, will be offering a 2-course lunch prix-fixe menu special, as well as a 3-course dinner prix-fixe menu for NYC Restaurant Week. Priced at $45 and $60 respectively, guests will have the option to dine at lunch or dinner in Hortus NYC’s elegant dining room overlooking Fifth Ave, or in the newly revamped enclosed backyard garden dining space.

Lunch, served from 11:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. will include their selection of premium Sotbaps, which are a burgeoning trend in Korean Dining. They include, but are not limited to:

  • Truffle Wagyu, A5 Miyazaki Wagyu with cured egg yolk and micro greens, topped with shaved truffle
  • King Crab and Uni, selected Uni from Japan, seaweed puree, cured Ikura, and fried quinoa

Dinner highlights, served from 5 p.m. – 10:30 p.m., will include:

  • Yuzu Bacon Rose Pasta, Rigatoni with candied yuzu bacon and tomato cream sauce
  • Cod with a gochujang crust served on a bed of lobster risotto and charred spring onion
  • Sea Urchin with nori puree, ikura, and cured egg yolk, topped with truffle
