Ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026, Tequila Don Julio is introducing a major cultural moment for the brand with the debut of its limited-edition Tequila Don Julio 1942 FIFA World Cup 2026 bottle and new campaign, Made to Be Raised.

Inside remains the same 100% Blue Weber agave Añejo tequila, aged for at least two years in American white oak barrels, delivering notes of warm oak, vanilla, and roasted agave with an exceptionally smooth finish.

The launch is anchored by a cinematic campaign starring Thierry Henry, alongside Tobin Heath and Christen Press, and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Leigh Powis. The film captures the universal gesture of raising a bottle to celebrate life’s most defining moments, rooted in the energy and emotion of the world’s game.

“Thierry Henry was hero of mine growing up, he was just as magic as I had hoped all those years, and not only him but my agency team on this were some of the most passionate people I have worked with, the kind of team you give everything you got for, so it was one of those, the Tequila Don Julio team equally so, from my first call with them to our final go time call, they were so supportive and wanted to push!”, says Director Leigh Powis. “So all in all it was a passion filled pursuit of something special. I tried as hard as I could! Lots of love to all.”

As an Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Supporter, the brand will bring Made to Be Raised to life through a full-scale rollout including OOH in host cities, premium media partnerships, broadcast integration during the tournament, and immersive experiences across key markets.
Notably, the cinematic spot will air during the FIFA World Cup 2026 final tournament, placing the brand at the center of one of the most anticipated moments in global sport. Fans can also look forward to social storytelling and immersive experiential activations in select markets.

The bottle is available now for purchase at the TheBar.com across the U.S. and Canada.

The limited-edition finish of the bottle draws visual inspiration from the silhouette and color of the FIFA World Cup Official Trophy, featuring luminous gold and crowned with a striking malachite closure. The design bears official FIFA World Cup 2026 marks and transforms 1942 into a collectible celebration piece, a trophy reimagined, one that fans everywhere can take home and raise in their own unforgettable moments.

“Around the world, Tequila Don Julio 1942 is synonymous with elevated celebration. Crafted in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, this exceptional iconic luxury añejo tequila has long been raised by winners, champions, and those celebrating life’s defining moments,” said Julian Garcia, Vice President of Tequila Don Julio at Diageo North America. “In creating Made to Be Raised and this beautiful, limited-edition bottle design, we set out to give fans a trophy of their own – one worthy of being raised in celebration of the iconic, once-in-a-lifetime moments that define the FIFA World Cup. We hope this work inspires monumental moments of celebration, always enjoyed responsibly.”

Made to Be Raised marks the beginning of the brand’s celebrations unfolding throughout the tournament that will culminate in New York and New Jersey for what promises to be a finals experience unlike any other.
