The holiday season is the perfect time to give. And for those fortunate enough to be in the position to give, this weekend there’s an opportunity to help others.Empire Cruises will host its third annual Empire Cruises Cares Holiday Toy Drive and Free Kids Cruise” for underserved and underprivileged communities.
The family-oriented kids cruise sets sail on Sunday, December 18, 2022 boarding at 12 p.m. and departing at 1pm from Brooklyn Army Terminal (140 58 Street, Brooklyn, NY 11220).

Empire Cruises Cares Holiday Toy Drive
Empire Cruises is spearheading a holiday toy drive to give back to low income families, as well as children in orphanages and shelters.  Join in bringing the holiday magic by donating an unwrapped gift – books, board games, age-appropriate toys, sports equipment, stuffed animals, puzzles, dolls, art supplies, gift cards and electronics.

In addition to the toys, the private boat company is also collecting winter clothing for underprivileged and underserved children (infants to teenagers).  Donations can be dropped off at Empire Cruises’ office, 2430 FDR at East 23rd Street, New York, NY 10010 on or before December 17, 2022 at 4 p.m.

All donations will be distributed to those less fortunate during the cruise.

Free Family-Oriented Kids Cruise
Set sail up the East River for a family-oriented kids cruise with Santa and his elves as they bring the holiday magic to the young at heart. There will be a magician on board offering an interactive magic show.  Audience participation will be key as he skillfully weaves audience members into the show. Family fun continues all throughout the cruise with face painting, balloon making, and a top DJ spinning a diverse selection of music.  Complimentary snacks and beverages will be served during the sailings.

“As children of Latino immigrants, our parents made sacrifices coming to America so we can have a better life.  We were once the underserved and underprivileged children growing up in Bushwick and in East New York and our parents didn’t have many luxuries to give us,” say Alex Suazo and Ronny Vargas, co-founders, Empire Cruises.  “It is important for us to give back and give a hand up to those who are less fortunate than us, especially during the holiday season.”

Empire Cruises owns and operates eight contemporary unique floating vessels – U.S. coast guard certified private boats with capacities ranging from 20 to 600. Through its program, Empire Cruises Cares, the private boat company enables its employees to give back and support local charities through complimentary cruises and a holiday toy drive.
