Last month, audio everywhere company, Raedio, alongside Google announced the Creators Program – an initiative designed to provide underrepresented independent artists with more resources and funding, as well as to increase representation of women in the music industry.  

Submissions are [now open] for the Raedio Creators Program Supported by Google and will close on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. Winners will receive funding and resources to develop wholly owned projects, marketed, released, distributed and synced by Raedio. Recipients will be announced at the HOORAE x Kennedy Center Takeover in Washington D.C. the weekend of March 25, 2022. The Raedio executive team will be reviewing submissions now through the deadline.  

Who Should Apply:  

  • The Raedio Creator Program Supported by Google will select two (2) women artists and two (2) women composers to receive access to funding, mentorship, creative and business resources, a pipeline to Raedio’s TV & Film projects and label and distribution services for their release. 
  • Artists’ submissions should include two (2) original and unreleased songs for consideration.  They must include music & lyrics. 
  • Composers’ submissions should include three (3) score pieces up to 1 minute each that showcase a different genre / mood for each piece. No lyrics should be included. 

    What Does the Creators Program Provide Artists & Composers? 

  • The funding from Google will cover a stipend, recording fees costs, producer costs fees and marketing expenses for the two women artists to put out a three-to-five song EP.   
  • The Raedio record label branch team will supervise A&R and distribute the projects across which will be available on all digital service providers (DSPs) under the Raedio imprint in partnership with the Artist. The songs from each EP will be added to Raedio’s music library so that they can be pitched for sync opportunities. Google will also fund the production and development of one (1) music video for each artist.  
  • Google’s funding specifically dedicated to the two composers will cover recording and artist collaboration costs for a series of collections for TV, film and brand syncs. The Raedio music supervision branch will search for opportunities to place the composers’ original songs in various Hollywood projects.  
  • The composers will meet with music supervision veterans and industry experts within the field to gain insider knowledge of the business.
