1800 Tequila is bringing some of the best in Mexican & Mexican-American taste across fashion, music, food, and of course, tequila with the second iteration of its 1800 Taste Tiendita speakeasy pop-up via an 18(00) wheeler truck!

Celebrating the brand’s heritage, 1800 Tequila will kick off its 1800 Taste Tiendita in NYC – hosting a Cinco de Mayo party of the season and collaborating with GIRL ULTRA for a live performance. Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy custom cocktails curated by bartender Michael Aredes, live tunes by hellotones “el hijo de PueblaYork,” photo opps in trendy tiendita setups, and more.

Buzzing with energy, ranchera music, local residents, and even the neighborhood bartender – tienditas encapsulate the soul and true taste of Mexico, sharing 1800 Tequila’s authentic heritage. Inspired by the communal and cultural impact of a traditional Mexican tiendita, 1800 Tequila is bringing the spirit of this beautiful culture directly to consumers.

On Thursday, May 2 in NYC, 1800 Tequila will open its second iteration of its 1800 Taste Tiendita to the public (age 21+). There will be the participation of mural from visual artist, Melissa Santamaría, curated fashion displays by Creative Director & Stylist, César Alvarez from brands Montserrat Messeguer, de Maria, and Gypsy Sport, and more.

Cocktails to celebrate Cinco de Mayo

CANTARITO
Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz 1800 Cristalino
  • .5 oz Orange Juice
  • .5 oz Grapefruit Juice
  • .5 oz Lime Juice
  • 3 oz Jarritos Grapefruit Soda

Garnish: Garnish with Grasshopper Salt and Orange Slice

Instruction: In a shaker tin, combine 1800 Cristalino, fresh lime juice, grapefruit juice, and lime juice. Fill with ice and shake vigorously. Strain over fresh ice into rocks glass and top with Jarritos Grapefruit Soda. Garnish with orange slice and grasshopper salt.

MARGARITA
Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz 1800 Cristalino
  • .5 oz Lime Juice
  • .5 oz Agave Syrup
  • 1 oz Mango Puree
  • Tajin Rim

Garnish: Garnish with Tamarind Straw

Instruction: Take a fresh rocks glass and run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass, then dip into tajin. Separately, in a shaker tin, combine 1800 Cristalino, fresh lime juice, agave nectar, mango puree and lime juice. Fill with ice and shake vigorously. Take rocks glass with Tajin rim, and strain liquid over fresh ice. Garnish with tamarind straw.

CARAJILLO
Ingredients:

  • 1 oz 1800 Reposado
  • .5 oz Spanish Liqueur
  • .5 oz Cinnamon Syrup
  • 1 oz Cold Brew

Garnish: Garnish with grated Cinnamon

Instruction: In a shaker tin, combine 1800 Reposado, Spanish liquor, cinnamon syrup and cold brew. Fill with ice and shake vigorously. Strain over fresh ice into rocks glass and grate cinnamon over the top.
