Spring is nearly upon us, which means time for one of our favorite activities, camping. For those wanting to spend less time setting up and breaking down camp and more time doing outdoor sports, rooftop tent brand Roofnest offers hard-shell, fold-out tents that are both comfortable and easy to use.

Roofnest tents deploy in seconds, fold away nearly as quickly, and allow campers to sleep up above mud, rocks, and critters. What’s more, Roofnest estimates its tents save folks as much as an hour at camp — an hour they can use doing the outdoor activities they love.

To underscore that point, Roofnest released its all-new Sparrow XL rooftop tent model. Its built-in foam mattress is nearly the size of a queen mattress.

Inside Sparrow XL is seven feet long and 4.75 feet wide with 40 inches of headroom. At more than 112 cubic feet of space, the Sparrow XL is big enough to comfortably sleep two adults and a child or large dog. The larger Sparrow XL makes packing up camp quicker and easier, too. Bulky bedding can be left inside the tent where it will be protected from the elements.

“Our customers told us they wanted an even larger version of the Sparrow XL — and we delivered,” said Roofnest founder and CEO Tim Nickles. “All of our Roofnest tents deploy in seconds, giving campers more time in the outdoors to do what they love. And the new, larger Sparrow XL gives them even more space to stow extra gear as well as sleep more comfortably.”

The 2021 Sparrow XL is now five inches wider than before. It measures 61 inches wide, 86 inches long, and 11.5 inches tall when closed. Inside, Sparrow XL is seven feet long and 4.75 feet wide with 40 inches of headroom.

Thanks to the expanded size of the Sparrow XL, the integrated foam mattress is now nearly the size of a queen mattress. What’s more, at over 112 cubic feet of internal
space, the Sparrow XL is large enough to comfortably sleep two adults and a child or large dog.

The larger Sparrow XL makes packing up camp quicker and easier, too. Bulky bedding can be left inside the tent where it will be protected from the elements.
The tent’s roof panel, constructed from fiberglass-reinforced ASA/ABS plastic, is stronger and wider than before. Up front, it includes a 31-inch-wide space designed to
accommodate a 160-Watt flexible solar panel with which campers can keep their gadgets charged in the backcountry. A specially designed waterproof storage bag,
included with every Sparrow XL, nests in a storage cubby molded into the rear of the tent’s top shell.

Additional features include:
● Marine-grade struts with heavy-duty hinges that will last the life of the tent.
● Nearly queen-size built-in three-inch thick foam mattress — the thickest in its class — with anti-condensation mat for dry and comfortable year-round camping
in all weather conditions.
● Waterproof and breathable 280-gram polyester-cotton canvas construction with
reinforced corners that is insulative and quiet in the wind
● Unique detachable pocket system keeps shoes and other items handy and dry
● Detachable 8.5-foot telescoping ladder — long enough for even the tallest rigs.

Pricing for the new Sparrow XL starts at $3,395, which includes free shipping to all lower 48 states. The 2021 Sparrow XL is on sale and shipping now. Campers can learn more about the new Sparrow XL as well as place an order at: https://roofnest.com/product/sparrow_xl/
