With Thanksgiving coming up next week it’s time to start making plans for the festivities. If you’re in New York for the Annual Parade we bring a few select venues to make Thanksgiving dining truly memorable.

Michelin-recognized MIFUNE New York will be hosting a ten course Thanksgiving tasting menu from Executive Chef Tomohiro Urata. The experience will showcase Chef Tomo’s signature style of creatively blending French and Japanese cuisine that encompasses influences from his work in some of top international restaurants including France’s two Michelin-starred La Relais de la Poste in Magescq, three Michelin-starred Régis & Jacques Marcon in Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid and three Michelin-starred Maison Troisgros in Roanne. Priced at $200 per person, the featured entrée is an Organic Turkey pie (pictured above) made with truffle, foie gras, and porcini mushroom, and highlighting Chestnut Flan for dessert.
MIFUNE New York will be serving Thanksgiving Dinner from 6 pm to 10:30 pm.

Sweetbriar is the lively modern American restaurant well-known for bridging the gap between contemporary cuisine and classic favorites. Executive Chef Bryce Shuman harnesses live-fire cooking and the bounty of New York to create fresh seasonal dishes with impeccable, yet simple presentations. For Thanksgiving, Chef Bryce has curated a generous, three-course prix fixe menu priced at $85 per person, including side dishes available for the table. Highlights include: appetizers such as a Butternut Squash Velouté with crème fraiche and Aleppo pepper;  a Fall Radish Carpaccio with marinated trout roe; Mains including a Hickory Smoked Organic Turkey, light and dark meat, with mashed potatoes, and gravy; a Grilled Hen of the Woods Mushroom with beluga lentils and a mushroom broth; and a variety of sides for the tablesuch as: Cornbread Stuffing and Maple Glazed Sweet Potato with candied pecan, among others. For desserts, there is a pie station with an assortment of pies on display for guests to choose from. Reservations are available now via Resy and can be made between the hours of 12 pm and 9 pm for Thanksgiving Day.

Hortus NYC, the stylish, Michelin-recognized modern Asian restaurant in NoMad has curated a special Thanksgiving Day prix-fixe menu priced at $80 per person. It begins with the Royal Platter with chilled lobster tail, tuna tataki, and shrimp cocktail for two, followed by a crispy wonton, filled with truffle pulled duck and spicy mango. From there, diners choose an appetizer from the a la carte menu, and have a choice of a Truffle Chicken with Foie Gras for two, served with sweet rice and special sides, or an entrée from the menu.
The special Thanksgiving Day menu will be available at Hortus NYC for lunch from 11:30 am to 3 pm, and dinner from 5:30 pm to 11 pm.

The Following Restaurants Will Be Open On Thanksgiving But Will Not Have A Special Menu:

CHEF GUO, the Manhattan debut of Chinese Master Chef Guo Wenjun, will be open on Thanksgiving Day, with seatings at 6:00 pm and 8:30 pm. The restaurant showcases his proprietary culinary system and his unique brand of cuisine, combining Chinese Imperial cooking and Classic Western cuisine to create his Healthy Royal Cuisine Culinary System. The dishes are made with healthy, organic, and green ingredients, emphasizing nutritional value and a balanced meal. The food is prepared to allow the flavors of the high-quality ingredients to speak for themselves. His cuisine is served in the form of a nineteen-course tasting menu that includes 15 savory coursesthree tea courses, and a dessert.

8282the elevated modern Korean restaurant, will be opened on Thanksgiving Day, operating its normal hours from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm. 8282 is owned by the affianced couple, previously owners of Pado, Chef Bong Le Jo (Perry St, Dovetail and Kissaki), and Jee Kim, who makes frequent trips to Seoul to ensure 8282’s menu remains authentic. The menu is divided into two categories: small plates called Anju, which means food you eat with alcohol in Korean, and larger shared platesnamed Banju, meaning alcohol paired with good food. The inventive and playful dishes are complimented by a wide selection of premium Soju as well as craft cocktails.
