This year, Dos Equis’ “Most Interesting Man in the World” will serve as Grand Marshal in New York City’s 42nd Annual Village Halloween Parade. As part of Dos Equis’ Masquerade campaign, “The Most Interesting Man in the World” will lead parade-revelers down Sixth Avenue, through the bright city lights, to unmask a world of intrigue.
“The Most Interesting Man in the World embodies exactly what this parade is about – mystery, intrigue, and of course, interesting,” said Jeanne Fleming, Director of the Village Halloween Parade. “We are thrilled to have Dos Equis involved to keep this great NYC tradition alive.”
“Putting on a mask offers the chance to reveal a more interesting side of yourself, and that’s exactly what we’re encouraging consumers to do this Halloween season,” said Andrew Katz, VP of Marketing for Dos Equis. “By bringing ‘The Most Interesting Man’ to what is already an epic event enjoyed by millions, we’re taking this year’s Halloween celebration to another level.”
The Most Interesting Man is currently featured in campaign-themed commercials running through October. The two 15-second spots feature the icon offering his take on Masquerade parties this Halloween season: “A little mystery can go a long way. I suggest you have it lead back to your place.”
The legendary Village Halloween Parade event has entertained the public on Halloween night for the past 41 years, attracting millions of people from around the world. Inspired by the theme “Shine a Light!”, the parade will showcase hundreds of puppets, 53 bands spanning all genres of music, dancers, artists and thousands of New Yorkers donning costumes of their own creation in the nation’s largest public participatory event in the greatest city in the world.
