With Earth Day coming up New York‘s Ace Hotel is offering  a special and informative experience, one that delivers the magic that comes from telling the tale of Earth’s fragility through music & greenery.

On Monday, April 22nd from 8pm – 11pm in The Lobby, Ace Hotel New York will be celebrating Earth Day 2019 with An Aria to Earth Day – a unique cultural experience that will bring an awareness that our connection to our fragile environment is vital and that the first step in taking care of it is to recognize it’s preciousness and its weaknesses. This event is free & open to the public.

An Aria to Earth Day is a unique bonsai opera collaboration between Dandy Farmer and opera singer Cassandra Douglas tells the tale of a fragile beauty and its fight for survival. For this project, Dandy Farmer Bonsai tapped into the work of NYC ceramicists Jonathan Castro and Kathryn Robinson-Millen to create one-of-a-kind vessels for our most prized trees that depict a crumbling earth rising from the destruction.

Dandy Farmer is a plant company that specializes in bonsai. It began with a need to share living works of art with a focus on quiet details and awareness toward bringing nature home. Today Dandy Farmer Bonsai is an online e-commerce site and brick-and-mortar design studio for smart urban dwellers looking for meaningful easy-care plants. The plant nursery is headquartered in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, next to the Navy Yard. The retail location, The Bonsai Shop by Dandy Farmer, is a permanent outpost at the Canal Street Market, open daily.
