Colombian swimwear brand Maaji’s newest collection will launch on July 9th during Miami Swim Week – The Shows, and is meant to reflect the nature of the Jaguar Corridor – a place where jaguars can pass through safely and unharmed – in the Americas. They have also announced a partnership with Guardians of El Chiribiquete – a nonprofit organization that helps secure the safety of this priceless ecological zone.
This new collection will bring to life vibrant solid colors including radiant pink, mustard, ink black, scarlet red, fair aqua, and blue, as well as shimmery fabrics, new embroidery techniques to add different textures, and over 30 new animal, flower, lush palms, ombre, and tropical motifs prints.
Versatile swimwear pieces of Maaji’s new collection include monogram patterns, 80’s inspired silhouettes, one-piece with cutout details, mesh-hits-swim trends, and plenty of beaded and embroidery details that can go easily from day to night. According to the brand, “Our beachwear proposal is made of must-have statement pieces, from easy-to-style cabana sets to mesh dresses, tie-dye, and sunset-shade pieces.”
The brand’s aim is to spread the joy of an endless summer lifestyle. Its fun and versatile pieces are designed for sunny and conscious young-spirited people. Founded in 2003 by Colombian sisters, Manuela and Amalia Sierra, Maaji was built on the principle of making a positive impact through good deeds. The brand is present in more than 50 countries, has 15 stand-alone stores across the Americas, and available Nordstrom, Revolve, Galerias Lafayette, Corte Ingles, Amazon, Zappos, Neiman Marcus, Anthropologie, and Bloomingdales.
In the efforts of becoming a fully sustainable brand, Maaji’s entire collection is made with 85% fabrics from recycled fibers and all swimwear pieces are reversible with lots of mix-and-match possibilities.
The Maaji show is sponsored this year by Hotel Greystone located in Miami Beach.
