This Hispanic Heritage Month will see the inaugural launch of The Nuevolution Project from Walmart; a collection of exclusive, only-at-Walmart products that celebrates visionary creatives shaping culture.

This new initiative spotlights luxury LA-based streetwear design label Wish Me Luck, founded by creative Alex Ordonez and photographer Sam Dameshek, as well as Philadelphia-based Puerto Rican graffiti artist and ceramicist Roberto Lugo.
Together, with creators Roberto Lugo and Wish Me Luck, Walmart is bringing a unique assortment of bold, style-forward home and apparel items at great prices.

Wish Me Luck: Dreamers of the Motherland.
This line includes premium tee-shirts, hoodies, trousers, trucker jackets and hats, is available in over 100 stores across the U.S. and online, with prices ranging from $9.98 to $39.98.

According to Alex Ordonez and Sam Dameshek, “The capsule represents the full scope of our lives highlighting the parents we grew up with, where we spent our free time, and the hustle mentality to be “Champions” and “Win” that was instilled in us. With this approach, we incorporated it into the design language we practice at Wish Me Luck.”

This line includes apparel and home products showcasing bespoke patterns that include visuals that represent his upbringing in Philadelphia and his Puerto Rican heritage. Available in over 800 stores across the U.S. and online with prices ranging from $8.98 to $19.98.

As Lugo puts it, “As an artist coming from Philadelphia, it has always been important to me for everyday people to have access to my art. My patterns draw from art history, my Puerto Rican heritage, as well as culture today. It is great to be in fine museums and galleries, but this Walmart collection brings my art to life in a new way.”

Both collections are capsule collections, with Walmart making designer pieces accessible to everyday consumers while celebrating creativity and culture, merging fashion with purpose.

Additionally, the Wish Me Luck line is in partnership with Complex, the definitive platform for global youth culture and music lifestyle. Complex, The Nuevolution Project’s official media partner, identified Wish Me Luck to be a part of the inaugural program and will capture campaign content for the duo’s luxury clothing brand.
NTWRK, an app-only ecommerce shopping platform that is part of Complex’s multi-pronged ecosystem, will offer a 1:1 specially designed piece from Wish Me Luck along with exclusive assets and a live episode featuring Ordonez and Dameshek – available 9/19.
