From Kick-Off to Dessert, Celebrate with HORNITOS

With Christmas and New Year’s right around the corner, enjoy the holidays for what they’re worth – good food, good sports, good friends and good drinks!  Hornitos Tequila wants to make sure that you are properly equipped with a plan to get through each stage of your upcoming holidays. Using the tips below, you’ll be prepped and ready – from opening kickoff, right through dessert.

Stage 1Football
Hornitos Tequila’s Char-Cold One is a refreshing beer-inspired cocktail that is perfect for starting your day. Sit back, put your feet up and watch the games the way that it’s meant to be watched.

  • ·         1 ½ parts Hornitos Plata Tequila
  • ·         5 parts Mexican lager
  • ·         3 dashes hot sauce
  • ·         8 dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • ·         ½ part lime juice

  Preparation: Combine ingredients in a pint glass or pilsner glass and serve. Garnish with lime.

Stage 2: The Main Course
The Hornitos Plata Paloma is a lighter drink that won’t fill you up as you empty your plate of all the grub.

  • ·         2 parts Hornitos Plata Tequila
  • ·         ½ part lime juice
  • ·         2 parts white grapefruit juice
  • ·         2 parts club soda

Preparation: Combine ingredients in a glass and serve. Garnish with a lime slice.

Stage 3: The Dessert
Unwind at the end of a long day with the Brewed Awakenings coffee-inspired tequila cocktail that pairs perfectly with your dessert.

  • ·         1 ½ parts Hornitos Black Barrel Tequila
  • ·         1 ½ parts coffee liqueur
  • ·         ¼ part vanilla syrup *
  • ·         1 part heavy cream

  *To make vanilla syrup, mix together 1 part sugar, 1 part water and 1 part vanilla extract. Bring to a boil and cool before serving (approximately 1-2 minutes)  
Preparation: Combine all ingredients in a glass and serve
