The Pro Bowl Games are the NFL’s annual celebration of the league’s best players as they compete in a multi-day AFC vs. NFC competition with skills showdowns and a highly anticipated flag football game.
Two Latinos will put their skills on display at the 2025 Pro Bowl Games presented by Verizon, as linebackers Nik Bonitto and Fred Warner will be among the stars in action this week in Orlando, Florida.
Nik Bonitto | Linebacker | Denver Broncos | Cuban Heritage
Nik Bonitto’s emergence as an elite pass rusher was vital in making the Broncos one of the surprises of the 2024 season. A former second-round pick in 2022 out of college football powerhouse Oklahoma, Bonitto made his presence felt in his third season in the NFL.
An explosive edge rusher, Bonitto finished the 2024 season with a career-best 13.5 sacks that ranked third in the league and helped Denver lead the NFL with sacks as a team. His quick first step and relentless motor make him a nightmare for opposing quarterbacks and he played a pivotal role in Denver’s defensive efforts. Bonitto earned his first career Pro Bowl selection.
Fred Warner | LB | San Francisco 49ers | Mexican & Panamanian Heritage
While his Mexican and Panamanian heritage might be a surprise to some, Fred Warner’s talent is second to none. Born Federico Anthony Warner, the former third-round pick out of BYU has made a name for himself ever since he burst on the scene as a standout rookie in 2018. Warner has solidified his place as one of the best linebackers in all of football, recording more than 115 tackles in each of his seven NFL seasons.
As impactful a linebacker as you can find in the NFL, the four-time first-team All-Pro selection posted a team-leading 131 tackles (76 solo) in 2024, adding a sack, four forced fumbles, and two interceptions to earn his fourth Pro Bowl nod in the last five seasons.
The Pro Bowl Games kick off on Jan. 30 with the Thursday Skills Showdown that will air LIVE on ESPN beginning at 7 pm ET. This year six skill competitions will air on Thursday night: Passing the Test, Satisfying Catches, The Big Spike, Relay Race, Helmet Harmony and Dodgeball.
Hosted in partnership with Florida Citrus Sports, Orange County, and the City of Orlando, all-star competition on Sunday, Feb. 2 promises fans a day filled with thrilling AFC vs. NFC action. On Sunday, the league’s 88 biggest stars go head-to-head in fan-favorite competitions, face-off in an epic flag football game, and enjoy a variety of family friendly activities, giveaways, and interactive experiences.
Adding to the excitement, NFL Legends Peyton and Eli Manning return as head coaches for the third-consecutive year, fueling their ongoing sibling rivalry in what’s become a highlight of the Pro Bowl Games.
