A Look Back At Salma Hayek’s Classic Roles On The Eve Of Her Latest, “Magic Mike’s Last Dance” Opening 2/10

Salma Hayek has starred in several films throughout her career going all the way back to the early 90’s and has continued to give audiences roles that are ingrained in the culture. In celebration of her latest role in the upcoming Warner Bros. release  “Magic Mike’s Last Dance” we take a look back at her screen life, from portraying a dancing vampire queen in “From Dusk till Dawn,” to  Frida Kahlo, to now playing one of her sexiest characters yet.

Her latest release co-stars Channing Tatum and will open nationwide on February 10th.

1. In 1996 Hayek starred in “From Dusk till Dawn,” directed by Robert Rodriguez and written by Quentin Tarantino. Even though she was only on screen a few minutes portraying a dancing vampire, the character is one of the best known in cult film history. To this day women dress up as her character for Halloween.

2. In 1999 she played the kidnapped daughter of a scientist alongside Will Smith in the Western “Wild Wild West.” Her character Rita Escabor is rescued by Smith’s character who also helps save her father.

3. In 2002, Hayek starred as Frida Kahlo in a biopic called “Frida.”  She was nominated for an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe for her role.

4. In 2021, Hayek was cast as Ajak in “Eternals,” a film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Her character was part of the Eternals, immortal beings whose job is to protect earth from the Deviants.

5. Now, in 2023, she stars alongside Channing Tatum in the third installment of the Magic Mike franchise, “Magic Mike’s Last Dance.”
