ALFONSO CUARON’s ‘Gravity’ Earns 10 Academy Award Nominations, along with ‘American Hustle’

After making a movie he was told couldn’t be done, Alfonso Cuaron has raised above the fray and earned 10 Academy Award Nominations. This is by far the most successful film for a Latin director. Cuaron wrote, produced and directed ‘Gravity.’ He already has a Golden Globe award and his Oscar odds are on his favor.

‘American Hustle,’ the  film starring Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence also has 10 nominations, followed by ’12 Years A Slave’ with 9 nods.
