Casa Bond, NoHo’s hottest new Mexican restaurant, is partnering with Los Amantes, an artisanal mezcal distiller, to host a multi-course Chef’s tasting menu and Mezcal pairing event on March 27th. The experience will feature a carefully crafted prefix menu by Executive-Chef Owner Rodrigo Abrajan and will be complemented by Los Amantes’ specialty mezcals.

Crafted from 100% agave in Oaxaca, Mexico’s esteemed mezcal region, Los Amantes’ mezcal is smoked in traditional underground pits, resulting in exceptional smoothness and complexity. Notably, the distillery holds NOM-O01X, signifying it as the first internationally certified mezcal distillery.

The evening will begin with a welcome cocktail and amuse-bouche, followed a 3-course tasting menu, priced at $95 per person.

Highlights of the tasting menu and mezcal pairings include, but are not limited to:

Course 1:
o   Elote Tomalito: sweet corn tamal, salsa tomatillo, créme fraiche, and queso fresco
Paired with a copita of Los Amantes Mezcal Joven

Course 2 (choice of):

o   Camarones Enchipotlados: jumbo gulf shrimp, smokey adobo salsa infused with Los Amantes Mezcal Joven, served with a side of plantain purée
Paired with a copita of Los Amantes Mezcal Reposado

o   Fideos with Bone Marrow: angel hair spaghetti, salsa verde, Chipilo creme fresh, and cotija cheese
Paired with a copita ofLos Amantes Mezcal Reposado

Course 3:
o   Pastel Mixteco: chocolate lava cake, mole mixteco, pine nuts, with white toasted sesame ice cream
Paired with a copita ofLos Amantes Mezcal Añejo

Casa Bond will offer two seatings for the tasting experience, the first at 6 p.m. and a second at 9 p.m.
