Chicago Famous Portillo’s Brings Free Street Style Food To New York

If you’re based in New York and ever wondered what makes Chicago-style street food so special, you’re in luck. Portillo’s famed Beef Bus is coming to NYC from October 21 – 27. Get ready to taste what all the hype is about.

If you aren’t familiar, Portillo’s is the classic, fan-obsessed, fast-casual restaurant concept known for its Chicago-style Hot Dogs, Italian Beef Sandwiches and mouthwatering Chocolate Cake. Despite having more than 60 locations, they haven’t made it to New York yet … that is, until now.

Portillo’s massive Beef Bus will be touring the Big Apple beginning October 21 when it will spend the day in the heart of the city (Times Square) feeding the masses for FREE. Additional stops are below:

Thursday, Oct. 21

  • 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.: Times Square (on the plaza between 43rd & 44th Streets)

Sunday, Oct. 24

  • 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.: Upper East Side (84th Street & 5th Avenue)
  • 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: Upper West Side (72nd Street & Central Park West)

Monday, Oct. 25

  • 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.: World Trade Center
  • 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: Astoria Park, Queens

Tuesday, Oct. 26

  • 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.: Columbus Circle (57th Street & 8th Avenue)
  • 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: Madison Square Park

Wednesday, Oct. 27

  • 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.: Rockefeller Plaza
  • 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: DUMBO, Brooklyn (1 Old Fulton Street)
