Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts, a leading all-inclusive resort brand with properties in the Caribbean and Mexico, reopened its doors at the Bahia Principe Luxury Sian Ka’an on November 1st, thus marking the return of all hotel operations in both Mexico and Jamaica. The company has a combined total of six establishments in both countries, with an aggregate amount of over 4,000 rooms.

Properties in Mexico include Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal, Bahia Principe Grand Coba, Bahia Principe Grand Tulum and Bahia Principe Luxury Sian Ka’an

Properties in Jamaica include Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica, Bahia Principe Luxury Runaway Bay

The Bahia Principe Luxury Sian Ka’an sits within the heart of the Mayan jungle, surrounded by a luxury residential development and just a few yards away from the PGA Riviera Maya Golf Club. As it belongs to Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts’ luxury collection, guests can access nearby establishments with more than 20 themed bars and restaurants, shop at La Hacienda Doña Isabel, or play golf on the spectacular course designed by Robert Trent Jones II, among many other things. Thanks to its size and architectural design, the 420-room resort offers guests an affordable, upscale, adults-only experience.

“The reopening of Bahia Principe Luxury Sian Ka’an is great news, as it completes the reactivation of the four hotels we have in Mexico, one of our core locations,” said Antonio Teijeiro, COO of Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts. “This destination performed very well throughout 2020 and 2021, especially for the American and domestic markets. We know guests have been eager to return and our staff is ready to provide the best service and experience from booking to check-out.”

Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts’ parent company, Grupo Piñero, has held well-established ties within Riviera Maya for over 20 years. In addition to the four properties, Grupo Piñero also maintains a luxury residential development in this destination: Tulum Country Club. Located in Riviera Maya, the development sprawls over more than 1,400 acres and has more than 1,300 residences built around the spectacular PGA Riviera Maya Golf Course. Grupo Piñero employs more than 2,000 people in Mexico, which is also the origin of Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts as an international hotel chain.

Having opened in 2007, Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica and Bahia Principe Luxury Runaway Bay make up the hotelier’s Jamaican properties where the size and state-of-the-art facilities, services and activities, ensure unforgettable experiences. The Jamaica-based complex encapsulates a total of 1,375 rooms for guests to reside, a water park, seven swimming pools and 11 dining options.

Both Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts and Grupo Piñero continue their process of gradually reopening and along with efforts towards the safe recovery of the tourism and travel industry.
