Johnnie Walker celebrated democracy and casting your ballot with an Election Night celebration in Houston, TX – one of the hottest election races in the nation— hosted by celebrated actor and activist, Wilmer Valderrama.

A continuation of the brand’s Keep Walking America campaign that launched in 2016, which celebrates diversity and cultural progress, Johnnie Walker partnered with several non-profit organizations including Vote.org and the Civic Nation #VoteTogether campaign to celebrate the act of voting as a pivotal act of progress for the future of our country.

In collaboration with Valderrama and these partners, Johnnie Walker hopes to inspire people to not only become better informed about voting policies in the workplace but also make the act of voting fun and celebratory. Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed specialty Johnnie Walker cocktails and received custom Johnnie Walker codes for a safe Lyft ride home. Attendees were also treated to a live performance by Chicano Batman.On stage Valderrama thanked everyone who made it to the polls stating, “Tonight, is a moment worth celebrating. We are celebrating Election Day. We are celebrating voting as a way to move our country forward.  Our democracy is important and I’m proud to stand by Johnnie Walker to celebrate our culture and heritage.”

LA soul band Chicano Batman performed their reimagined version of patriotic anthem, “This Land Is Your Land,” which was first introduced as part of the Johnnie Walker Keep Walking America campaign in 2016, and has re-aired nationally through the elections, to continue to celebrate a diverse America, reinforcing the brand’s mission to inspire progress.
