From its beginnings to the present day, Longines has exhibited a deep passion for the equestrian world through its longstanding sports timing partnerships and its equestrian-themed timepieces. Many iconic Longines timepieces have been engraved with richly detailed images of horses, riders, and jockeys, motifs that the winged hourglass brand has reinterpreted as limited, numbered editions of the Longines Equestrian Pocket Watch collection.

Select models from the series will be on display and available for sale for a limited time at Longines U.S. boutiques starting this September, their arrival scheduled just in time for the Longines Global Champions Tour of New York on Governor’s Island, September 25-26, 2019. The Swiss watchmaker is proud to be the Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of the equestrian event series worldwide. These exceptional timepieces attest to the close relationship between Longines and the equestrian world, embodying the brand’s values of Tradition, Elegance, and Performance. The story of these emblematic pieces is also closely linked with the story of the sports shown on the cases of the watches. Showjumping and horse racing are disciplines that, similar to Longines, have evolved over time without abandoning their authenticity.

The exquisitely crafted, highly limited 18-karat rose gold pocket watches feature white lacquered dials with painted Arabic or Roman numerals, manually wound mechanical movements, and robust power reserves that range between 40 and 53 hours. These numbered, limited edition Longines Equestrian Pocket Watches retail between $32,000 and $52,000. Each distinct pocket watch design has been issued only in a limited series of 20 pieces worldwide, and only 13 pocket watches out of the collection will be on display and available for purchase at Longines U.S. boutiques in New York, Florida, and Hawaii for a limited time.
