Memorial Day Weekend Cocktails To Kick Off Summer

As summer is about to begin we’re bringing you a few cocktails perfect for the warmer months, especially ideal to celebrate this Memorial Day Weekend (5/29).

Below you’ll find a few delicious and creative recipes from William Grant & Sons brands including Milagro TequilaHendrick’s Gin: the brand’s OG bottle, in addition to the latest release, Flora Adora, Glenfiddich Single Malt Scotch Whisky, and The Balvenie Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

Milagro Tequila: whether you’re a seasoned tequila drinker or newcomer to the world of agave spirits, Milagro’s Paloma offerings will suit every palate. From a classic Paloma to creative twists, Milagro’s cocktails will bring you to the brighter side of tequila.

Paloma Select 
Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ Parts Milagro Select Silver
  • ½ Part Agave Nectar*
  • 1 Part Pink Grapefruit Juice
  • ½ Parts Fresh Lime Juice
  • 3 Parts Sparkling Water 
  • 1 Pink Grapefruit Wedge 

*Or Substitute with Simple Syrup

Method: Pour all ingredients, except sparkling water, into a Boston shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a highball glass with fresh ice. Top with sparkling water. Garnish with speared grapefruit wedge. 

Select Cranberry Paloma
Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ Parts Milagro Select Silver
  • ¾ Part Fresh Lime Juice
  • ¾ Part Fresh Cranberry Juice
  • ½ Part Thyme Simple Syrup 
  • 2 Parts Pink Grapefruit Soda

Method: Pour all ingredients, except pink grapefruit soda, into a Boston shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a highball glass with fresh ice. Top with pink grapefruit soda and garnish with skewered cranberries.

Paloma Negra
Ingredients:

  • 2 Parts Milagro Silver
  • 1 Part Ruby Red Grapefruit (fresh)
  • 3/4 Part Agave Nectar
  • 1/2 Part Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 Capsule Activated Charcoal
  • Club Soda
  • Kosher Salt 
  • Grapefruit Peel

Method: Pour all ingredients into a Boston shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a Collins glass with fresh ice. Top with club soda. Garnish with grapefruit peel and kosher salt rim.

Paloma Rosada

  • 1 ½ Parts Milagro Reposado
  • ½ Part Fresh Lime Juice
  • 4 Parts Pink Grapefruit Soda
  • 3 Pink Grapefruit Wheels 
  • Kosher Salt

Method: Pour all ingredients into a highball glass over ice and stir. Garnish with speared pink grapefruit segments and half kosher salt rim.

Hendrick’s Gin: the brand’s OG bottle, in addition to the latest release, Flora Adora, offers endless recipes from a classic Cucumber Lemonade to a unique Aperol Spritz.

Gin & Tonic
Ingredients:

  • 1 part Hendrick’s Gin 
  • 3 parts Premium Tonic Water 
  • 3 rounds of Cucumber
  • Cucumber to Garnish

Method: Combine all ingredients in a highball glass filled with cubed ice and lightly stir. Garnish with 3 thinly sliced rounds of cucumber and serve.

Cucumber Lemonade
Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 parts Hendrick’s Gin 
  • 1/2 part Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 part Simple Syrup
  • Top with Soda Water
  • 3 rounds of Cucumber and 1 wheel of Lemon to Garnish

Method: Combine all ingredients in a highball glass filled with cubed ice and lightly stir. Garnish with 3 thinly sliced rounds of cucumber and 1 lemon wheel and serve.

Flora Adora Honeysuckle

Ingredients:

  • 2 Parts Hendrick’s Gin Flora Adora
  • 1 Part Lime Juice
  • 1 Part Wildflower Honey Syrup
  • 8 Mint Leaves
  • Cucumber Spear and Edible Flowers to Garnish

Method:  Add cucumber and mint to a shaker and muddle well. Add remaining ingredients and shake with ice. Fine strain over ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with a cucumber spear and edible flower.

Flora Adora Bubble Bees

Ingredients:

Method: Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and stir well to incorporate honey. Shake well with ice and strain into a chilled stemmed glass. Top with a splash of sparkling wine and garnish.

Peach Blossom 
Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ Parts Hendrick’s Gin Flora Adora
  • 3/4 Part Fresh Lemon Juice
  • ⅕ Part Creme de Peache
  • 5 Part Honey Syrup
  • 3 Slices of Ginger
  • Egg White Optional
  • Edible Flower to garnish

Method: Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake with Ice. If shaking with egg white, double shake. Then pour into a coupe and garnish with Edible Flowers & Thyme

Flora Adora Wildgarden Cup
Ingredients:

  • 2 Parts Hendrick’s Gin Flora Adora
  • 1 Part Lemon Juice
  • 1 Part Simple Syrup
  • Top with Premium Sparkling Water
  • 4 Raspberries
  • 6 Mint Leaves
  • 3 Cucumber Wheels

Method: Combine all ingredients in a highball glass filled with cubed ice. Top with sparkling water and stir gently. Garnish with cucumber wheels, mint leaves & raspberries.

Flora Adora Spritz on the Ritz

Ingredients:

  • 1-1/2 Parts Hendrick’s Gin Flora Adora
  • 1/2 Part Pineapple Juice
  • 1/2 Part Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 Part Aperol
  • 1/4 Part Simple Syrup
  • Splash Sparkling Water

Method: In a punchbowl over a large block of ice, combine liquid ingredients and stir well. Garnish with cucumber wheels, pineapple wedges & edible flowers. Serve in punch cups.
