Music Label Raedio Selects 11 Emerging Artists For The Sync Up Competition

Raedio, the audio everywhere company – founded by Issa Rae and helmed by music industry executive, Benoni Tagoe – has named the winners of The Sync Up. This was a digital contest for emerging artists to submit original, unreleased material for the final season of the hit HBO Original comedy, Insecure, and its accompanying soundtrack.

The 11 selected recipients have been announced on the brand’s social and spotlight the artists who will attend the show’s final songwriting camp in Los Angeles on June 21. At the camp, selected talent will work alongside Raedio executives, Insecure producers and more to help create material for the show, attend panels with executives and learn from the industry’s elite on what they need to break into the business.

Grand prize winner, Nafets, will receive the ultimate Sync Up experience by attending an additional industry-dedicated songwriting camp with the likes of PJ Morton, Robert Glasper, Smino, Soulection, TeaMarr, Nija Charles and more.

The Sync Up is aimed at highlighting the diverse backgrounds and stories of key luminaries in the entertainment space by giving emerging artists a unique platform to place their music into the forefront of culture.

The show’s first writing camp in April featured the industry’s top songwriters, producers and artists including Bryan Michael CoxWaleSmino, Joyce WriceSoulectionAlex Isley, and more.
