NBA player Jalen Green of the Houston Rockets is the new face of Paco Rabanne‘s Invictus fragrance collection. Green made history by turning down top college offers to pursue his NBA goal and ultimately landed a spot with the Houston Rockets. Ranked by ESPN as the No.1 basketball recruit in the Class of 2020, he is the youngest, and one of the most powerful members of his team.

Famed for his hard-working temperament and authentic spirit, Green caught Paco Rabanne’s eye during the casting of the new campaign, which is why the brand was set on making him the new face for Invictus — hoping to inspire many more young athletes to chase their dreams without the rulebook.

Back in 2013, Paco Rabanne introduced the world to Invictus, the mythical masculine fragrance that took the world by storm. After a decade of success, it is now time to evolve, to learn and to grow. In 2022, Invictus is radically rewritten for the next decade and beyond.

Obsessed by the concepts of power and beauty, Paco Rabanne re-imagines the legendary fragrance for the new generation. Reworked for right now. A continual theme remains: sports. Forever embodying Paco Rabanne scents. Audacity, confidence, attitude; values that moved Rabanne then, and that sportsmen look to today.

To embody the fresh story of Invictus 2022, the everyday quest for greatness, Paco Rabanne recently announced Green as the star  of the new masculine campaign. At the signing Green commented, “I’m proud to join Paco Rabanne and push even further the value of sport.”

With boundaries pushed and statements made, the new Invictus campaign represents all Paco Rabanne stands for, defining a completely new visual language for the fragrance. And, in the midst of a social and generational revolution, it meshes with today’s need to stay contemporary, inclusive and even closer to people’s hearts. Director Airton Carmignani, AKA Tino, shines a light on the heroism and complexities that define us as everyday champions, tracing links between the young athletes of today and the great sports legends of the past.

Photographer Greg Harris completes the vision with gritty black-and-white portraits to immortalize Jalen Green in a room full of trophies.
The new campaign is set to represent the entire Invictus fragrance range, including the original Invictus Eau de Toilette, Invictus Victory, and 2022’s new scent Invictus Platinum, a tribute to the most renegade spirits. Starting in May 2022.
