Park City Mountain is ready to celebrate the holidays after receiving over four feet of fresh snow in the past seven days. The resort has opened over 1,000 acres of terrain since November 22 with new terrain opening daily. With all this snow, it should be a very merry and white holiday season on the slopes.

Park City is a magical place to spend the holidays and Park City Mountain will kick off the holiday season with its annual Snowfest Celebration on Friday, Dec. 20.

Friday, Dec. 20 – Sunday, Jan. 5: Park City Mountain Snowfest Celebration

Park City Mountain will celebrate the holiday season with Snowfest: a 16-day winter festival featuring après ski events, musical acts, village entertainers, and activities including ice sculptures, s’mores roasting, meet-and-greets with the avalanche dogs and more. Activities will be presented at both the Park City Mountain Village and Canyons Village every single day. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for Santa all Snowfest long. The jolly old elf is a known fan of the mountain and can be found visiting with guests leading up to Christmas Day.

Saturday, Dec. 21: Santa Comes Down Town Lift

Santa loves Park City and he’s preparing to make his annual trip down Town Lift to Main Street on Saturday, Dec. 21. Beginning at 5:30 p.m., visitors can await Santa’s arrival in the Town Lift Plaza and enjoy complimentary cookies and hot chocolate. Santa will meet and greet with the children and families following his arrival in the Town Lift Plaza.

Sunday, Dec. 22: Silver Sky Nights at Canyons Village 

Enjoy an evening at Park City Mountain as the night sky lights up and Canyons Village is filled with live music, hot cocoa, sweet treats and more. Just after sunset, enjoy a spectacular fireworks show with a special finale.

Tuesday, Dec. 24: 57th Annual Torchlight Parade

Park City’s Annual Christmas Eve Torchlight Parade is a tradition as old as the resort itself. On Christmas Eve, over 100 Park City Ski and Snowboard Instructors will ski down the mountain with lit torches creating a beautiful scene on the Mountain. They will be joined by Santa Claus skiing down at the end of the parade. This is one of Park City’s most special and longest-running traditions and creates a special seasonal atmosphere on Christmas Eve. The celebration will begin at 5:30 p.m. in Park City Mountain Village with holiday music and cheer followed by the Torchlight Parade at approximately 6 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 27: Holiday Movie Night at Canyons Village 

Your favorite holiday classics come to the big screen in Canyons Village. Sing a-long and quote memorable moments while enjoying games, activities and delectable treats at the Umbrella Bar.

Tuesday, Dec. 31: New Year’s Eve Celebration and Fireworks

If you’re looking for a way to celebrate the New Year and want to start the night off with a bang, Canyons Village has just what you need with music and a spectacular fireworks display! Park City’s New Year’s Eve Celebration is a great way for you and all of your friends and family to kick-off your New Year’s Eve celebrations. In addition to the fireworks show, enjoy fire pits, hot cocoa, and live music on the Canyons Village stage. Or, make a reservation for the annual New Year’s Eve Party at The Grand Summit Hotel.
