With Independence Day approaching, we bring you a selection of delicious and festive cocktails that are reminiscent of our nation’s flag and utilize the best ingredients of the season.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and his Teremana Tequila’s have their interpretation of “the drink of the summer” – a sparkling, red-hued Mana Spritz – is the perfect cocktail to mix this 4th of July.
If you are looking to utilize some of the country’s finest seasonal ingredients this holiday, you’ll enjoy crafting Vermont-based Barr Hills frothy Timber Rattlesnake, made with fresh lemon juice and honey syrup.
For those looking for an alternative to the classic beer, celebrate America’s birthday with a refreshing, thirst-quenching canned cocktail, like Canteen, the Austin-based canned cocktail, or The Finnish Long Drink, whose mission is to make America the happiest country on Earth via their sparkling citrus, alcoholic beverage.

Timber Rattlesnake |
Available at Gin Lane Bar (Barr Hill Distillery, 116 Gin Lane, Montpelier, VT)

“What better way to celebrate the American landscape than by using seasonal, local ingredients this Fourth of July? The Timber Rattlesnake, while a take on an original cocktail from the famous Savoy hotel in London, incorporates local honey to give you a taste of your agricultural landscape. (A timber rattlesnake is an endangered species of rattlesnake found in Vermont.) This drink is a play on the classic Rattlesnake Cocktail (circa 1930 by Ada Coleman and/or Harry Craddock) at the Savoy. They were known to say, ‘This cocktail will either cure a rattlesnake bite, kill a rattlesnake, or make you see them.’” —Sam Nelis, Beverage Director at Barr Hill
