To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, Rémy Martin launched the Sobremesa Social Club as part of their Que Viva Rémy  Sobremesa 360 campaign, inviting cocktail and culinary aficionados in New York to join the brand as they celebrate and pay homage to Sobremesa, the post-dining tradition found throughout many Hispanic cultures.

The event, which took place at JALAO NYC, featured lively entertainment with unmatched vibes set by DJ Bembona alongside the unique dishes and cocktails curated by award-winning Chefs Carlos Gaytan  and Paola Velez, which featured Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal and Tercet that showcased how Sobremesa comes to life across different Hispanic cultures, including:

Chef Gaytán’s 1738 French Sip & Foie and Chocolate which exemplifies French culinary sophistication while including a touch of Mexican flavor, represented by the smoked bacon and figs, a combination reminiscent of the sweet and savory notes found in many Mexican dishes.

Chef Paola’s Nutmeg Pavlova & Chef Paola’s Bronx Sour pairing which marries the spirit of autumn with the flavors of her Dominican Heritage, to truly illustrate the meaning of Sobremesa, Hispanic heritage, and our one-of-a-kind cuisines.

Throughout the evening, there were also performances by Afro-Puerto Rican group Bombazo Dance company, featuring traditional dances of the Caribbean, and interactive opportunities including custom t-shirt design with Dominican multidisciplinary artist Danny Peguero.

Preserving traditional recipes and sparking conversations around the table is at the heart of Hispanic heritage, and Rémy Martin continues to embrace the history and traditions of excellence that form a community of inter-related cultures.

As a way to give back to the community, Rémy Martin and Hispanic Restaurant Association (HRA) are teaming up on this campaign to support and advance the careers of aspiring chefs, culinary entrepreneurs, restaurant managers, and industry professionals within the Hispanic community, uplifting the next generation of gastronomic excellence.

This was the brand’s first event to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month this year, and next will take place in Miami on September 28. Guests interested in joining the brand + chef partners in Miami are welcome to purchase their tickets HERE. As part of this partnership, all proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Hispanic Restaurant Association.
