Rooftop Film Club is celebrating the US launch on both sides of the pond with a stellar line-up of NYC-based movies screened under the stars. The four-day run will screen in tandem in both cities from June 7-10, featuring the sci-fi comedy (and questionable fashion) of 80s cult classic Ghostbusters, Woody Allen’s unforgettable Manhattan, the timeless style of Breakfast at Tiffany’s or an alternative look at Broadway with the aforementioned Oscar-winner, Birdman.

Since its inception in 2011, Rooftop Film Club has pioneered the outdoor cinema phenomenon in the UK, becoming a staple of the London culture scene. Rooftop Film Club has grown a sizable and passionate following, selling out over 250 rooftop screenings across five London venues in 2014 alone.

Gerry Cottle Jnr, Co-founder of Rooftop Film Club, commented: “With the most iconic skylines in the world, NYC has always been an aspiration for us as a business. We’ve spent years trying to find the ideal spot for our stateside debut – as soon as we saw the terrace at YOTEL we knew we had found our new home.”
