Samsung‘s latest and greatest device is here, and to celebrate the global launch of the Galaxy Note9  two very different but equally spectacular events were held in New York City. First off in the morning there was ‘Unpacked,’ held in Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, featuring key executives holding court and introducing several devices, with the highlight of course being the latest version of the Galaxy Note which we covered here.  Later in the evening it was time for ‘After Unpacked,’ held at Samsung 837 in New York City’s Meatpacking District.

‘After Unpacked,’ was the ultimate block party, featuring games, food, drinks, and performances. The celebration took over Washington Street between 13th and Little 12th Street. Attendees were among the first in the world to experience Samsung’s new Galaxy Note9 and enjoyed music immersive tech experiences, and more.

The star-studded event started with a toast by “Best Actress” Emmy nominee Issa Rae, who shared with the crowd that after being a long time Samsung Note user, she calls the device her “boss bitch phone” because it helps her get so much done.

The evening also brought guest appearances Fortnite streaming legend Tyler “Ninja” Blevins who spent his evening dueling fans on the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 and Galaxy Note9, along with Co-Star of ABC’s Emmy Award winning Shark Tank, Daymond John, YouTuber Casey Neistat, Olympian and activist Gus Kenworthy, Award-Winning Journalist and Former Editor in Chief of Teen Vogue Elaine Welteroth and acclaimed radio personality and podcast host Guy Raz.

The evening culminated with an epic live performance by Grammy-nominated Logic, who performed outside to a shut-down city block packed with fans, performing hits such as “1-800-273-8255” and “44 More”.
