Univision’s “Premios Juventud” Set To Broadcast 2020 Edition Tonight – Live From Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino

Univision’s “Premios Juventud” is ready to make history as the first major award show in this new era featuring live performances with Latin music’s hottest stars and emerging artists. Joining the star-studded lineup of performers are Cristian Castro, who will delight his fans with his latest single and classic romantic songs; Farruko, will perform his new release “La Tóxica” and will also be a part of the opening number with The WailersGrupo Firme will take the stage with their new song; Llane, returns to the show now as solo artist to perform his new bolero “Como Antes” and Kyen? Es?, the mysterious singer will do a tribute to Celia Cruz performing some of her iconic songs. The broadcast of the highly anticipated summer award show begins with the one-hour pre-show “PJ Takeover” at 7 p.m. ET/PT (6 p.m. CT) on Univision, followed by the three-hour main show.

Making this edition even more special, #PremiosJuventud will honor Pitbull for using his star power in support of the community, which includes financial grants to Latino small businesses around the country and the SLAM! Schools (Sports Leadership and Management) that provide students hands-on experience with producing broadcast content, with an “Agent of Change” award.
Mr. Worldwide, who has two nominations, will also perform his anthem during this quarantine “I Believe that We Will Win,” sending a message of hope and resilience. Three “Agent of Change” recognitions will be awarded to a diverse group of young people making an impact in their community. Andrea Ronquillo, for her work reducing gun violence and leading COVID-19 relief efforts in her community. Kimberly Guerra, for her role advocating for the LGBTQ community, Black Lives Matter, immigrant rights, human rights and women rights. Gaby Cintron, Vinita Akula and Kevin Dick, a diverse group of young medical students, who started a web page featuring stories of hope during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition, #PremiosJuventud will also celebrate frontline workers during the pandemic having them present the musical numbers during the show. Among the everyday heroes honored in the show are a pediatric ICU registered nurse, a volunteer at a food bank, a Health Department worker at the Fort Lauderdale Airport, an administrative assistant at a rehab center, a supervisor of pulmonary services and a delivery driver.

“Premios Juventud” will celebrate the 25-year legacy and music of legend Selena Quintanilla with a moving performance. Selena’s brother and producer AB Quintanilla will take part in the special, which will feature female artists Ally Brooke, Greeicy, Natti Natasha and Danna Paola.

As previously announced, Ricky Martin and Becky G will also receive the distinctive “Agent of Change” recognition. “Premios Juventud” will feature performances by Rauw Alejandro, Anuel AAJ Balvin, Neto Bernal, Ally BrookeCali y El Dandee, Camilo, Pedro Capó, Natanael Cano, CNCO, Jhay Cortez, Kany García, Greeicy, Karol G, Kendo Kaponi, Cedella Marley, Skip Marley, Mau y Ricky, Natti Natasha, Rafa Pabón, Danna Paola, Pitbull, Pitizion, Ozuna, Alex Rose, AB Quintanilla, Gloria Trevi, Manuel Turizo, The Wailers, Jay Wheeler and Sebastián Yatra.

The list of celebrities presenting the coveted awards this year includes El Alfa, Rafael Araneda, Bismack Biyombo, Edwin Cazares, Kimberly Dos Ramos, Yeison Jimenez, Marie Monti, Ivy Queen, Sebas Villalobos, VF7 and Zhamira.

Innovating to bring fans more of the awaited show, a special #PremiosJuventud edition of “El Break de las 7” will livestream exclusively on Univision’s TikTok account. Hosted by Johann Vera, the show will be the first live pre-show to air on the popular platform. The one-hour special will have dedicated segments to the nominees, the performances of the night and fashion. Two awards will also be presented during the digital show.

The three-hour show will be hosted by a diverse talented group that includes Julissa Calderón, Ana Patricia Gámez, Francisca Lachapel, Borja Voces and Sebastian Yatra. Migbelis Castellanos, Jomari Goyso and Amara la Negra will host the one-hour pre-show.

Univision will be bringing back its annual summer youth award show keeping safety top of mind. Given the current circumstances imposed by COVID-19, Univision will follow strict guidelines and restrictions, in full compliance with local authorities and public health recommendations, to implement this year’s show.
