To celebrate the holiday, Tequila Don  Julio is launching a virtual fundraising program that supports and celebrates the bar and restaurant community including once-in-a-lifetime virtual Cinco de Mayo celebrations with top bartenders and celebrities including James Harden, Erin Andrews, Julianne Hough, Diego Boneta and Lil Jon just to name a few to continue the effort for our friends behind the bar.

Tequila Don Julio has committed an initial $200,000 to the Restaurant Workers’ Community Foundation and will donate an additional $50,000 by Cinco de Mayo. In order to continue the relief efforts and celebrate the holiday Tequila Don Julio is also announcing the following initiatives:

An inspirational Cinco anthem video that honors a selection of bartenders and restaurant workers singing the iconic Mexican song, “Cielito Lindo” as they prepare for Cinco at home this year.

Sparkling Margarita (above)

“A take on a classic Margarita with some sparkling wine for effervescence”

Ingredients
1 1/2 oz. Tequila Don Julio Blanco
1/2 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
1/2 oz. Agave
Top with Sparkling Wine
Garnish with a Lemon Twist (optional)

Preparation
Combine Tequila Don Julio Blanco, fresh lime juice and agave syrup to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well.
Strain contents into a rocks glass over fresh ice and top with sparkling wine. Garnish with a lemon twist.

Colibrí Rubi Tea

Ingredients
1 1/2 oz Don Julio Blanco
2 oz. Hibiscus Tea
1/2 oz. Lime Juice
1/4 oz. Simple Syrup
Strawberry Halves as Garnish

Preparation
Combine Tequila Don Julio Blanco, hibiscus tea, lime juice and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake gently.
Strain contents into a Collins glass over fresh ice and garnish with strawberry halves.
