Volaris, the Mexican ultra-low-cost airline that operates in Mexico, the United States, Central and South America, celebrates its 4^th anniversary flying to Central America from the United States, fulfilling its goal of reuniting its Clients with their friends and family.

The operations of Volaris in Central America from the United States started in March 2018 and, since then the airline has transported almost 400 thousand passengers. The first flight departed from Los Angeles to El Salvador and from Guatemala City to Los Angeles. Today, the airline offers 4 routes, GUA-LAX, IAD-SAL, JFK-SAL and LAX-SAL, and is the Mexican airline with more operations in the United States.

According to data from the Migration Policy Website, Central Americans make up 8% of the total foreign residents living in the U.S., with 3.8 million foreign people currently living in the United States, mainly from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, countries where Volaris has centered its expansion strategy and that are key players to Volaris’ consolidating its growth and remaining the fastest growing airline in the region.
