In 2020, nearly one-in-five people in the U.S. identified as Hispanic or Latino, accounting for 19% of the overall population. Today, in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Xbox is celebrating and sharing the unique contributions and impact of Hispanic communities in gaming.

Below are a few ways that Xbox is highlighting Latin communities:

* Microsoft Rewards members can earn and share points for donations in support of Latinx in Gaminga nonprofit that connects Latinos across the gaming industry promotes cultural appreciation, and representation in games/game-related content, and provides a platform for the community to elevate each other and themselves. All Microsoft Rewards donations made in October will be matched by Microsoft.

* Forza is inviting designers to use #ForzaHHM to share their livery designs inspired by Hispanic heritage. A selection of content will be featured in @ForzaMotorsport 7 and @ForzaHorizon 4, and designers will receive in-game rewards.

* The Xbox Ambassadors community is spotlighting stories about representation in gaming from Xbox Ambassadors that are of Hispanic and Latino heritage. Their stories can be found here.

* Xbox Plays will celebrate the various communities represented during Hispanic Heritage Month by featuring games connected to these communities, as well as invite prominent live-streamers and content creators to stream on Xbox channels.

* Xbox Avatars celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with new gear. Players can show you’re their support with these festive and free tshirts, hoodies and more. Learn more about the avatars here.

* During September and beyond, Xbox is highlighting games, movies, and TV selected by the Hispanic and Latino community at Microsoft which bring focus to these creators, experiences, protagonists, and more. ​
