We spoke with Guido PalauRedken Global Creative Director to go behind the scenes and get the looks he created for Calvin Klein’s Spring/ Summer ’19.  As he says, “I’ve done a half-wet look here at Calvin Klein. Raf (Simons) was inspired by walking into the water, when the bottom half of your hair gets wet. To do that, I’m using Redken All Soft Mega Hydramelt Leave-In so it feels very wet like a spritz of water. I don’t want it to look drenched, I want it to look more ‘spritzed.’ On some of the girls, I’m using Redken Guts 10 on some of the girls’ side parts to get some lift in the front to give it a boyish edge. There’s not too much construction in the hair –it’s meant to look loose at the finish, like you’re at the beach.”

GET THE LOOK–THE MEN:
1. Start with clean, dry hair.
2. Scoop out about a nickel-sized amount of Redken Brews Clay Pomade onto your fingertips and work through your scalp and lengths to enhance a piecey definition.
3. Once you’ve achieved the desired texture, let any pieces around the face fall naturally across your forehead for an effortless look.

GET THE LOOK–THE WOMEN:
1. Start with clean, dry hair.
2. Prep your hair with Redken Guts 10 throughout your hairline.
3. Side-part your hair to lift the hair away from your face.
4. Take a thin elastic from around the head from the back and hold it taut at chin level.
5. Drench your hair with water and Redken All Soft Mega Hydramelt Leave-In, without letting the product go above the line of the elastic to create a harsh water line between your wet and dry hair.
6. Drenched your ends with water and tangle up your ends with your fingertips into your clothes for a deconstructed feel.
Remove the elastic.
