It’s our time! Time to enjoy the events that will take place in the five boroughs to mark National Hispanic Heritage Month. This is an annual celebration through which the US government recognizes the contributions of the Hispanic community to the development of the North American culture. NYC & Company, the official destination marketing organization for the City of New York, has compiled the following list to celebrate Latin culture all month long.

The scheduled celebration goes from September 15 through October 15, which coincides with the anniversary of the discovery of America, and with the celebration of the declaration of independence in countries like Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Chile and Mexico.

In relation to the month celebrating Hispanic-American diversity in New York City, Fred Dixon, CEO of NYC & Company, said, “We are very pleased to welcome New Yorkers and visitors during the annual celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, and we invite the community as a whole to discover the extraordinary Spanish-speaking culture that has permeated the five New York boroughs.”

Chris Heywood, Senior Vice President of Global Communications for NYC & Company, added, “We look forward to welcoming more visitors and tourists from all over the country to come and experience our rich Hispanic heritage in New York City.”
