To celebrate the launch of Captain Morgan Sliced Apple Spiced Rum, a fall-inspired twist on their classic Original Spiced Rum, Captain Morgan handed the creative reins to a group of some of the country’s most talented street artists. Their objective? To celebrate their communities and all the things that make it unique and special in their home cities across the U.S.

One of those artists is NYC’s own Mason Eve, who worked with Captain Morgan to design two different murals – one in the Bronx and another in Queens – that pay tribute to two of the city’s most vibrant and iconic neighborhoods. In her own unique, signature style, Mason’s murals showcase some of the diverse flavors, people, art and sounds that make up the irresistible spirits of the communities that Captain Morgan Sliced Apple is out to celebrate.

“For me, New York City is inspiring because of all the different communities that make it what it is,” Mason says. “From the music blasting between train cars, to the family owned businesses that have been here for decades, to the youth who I work with as a teaching artist – these people & places make up the beat of this city. I wanted to capture the electric energy that fuels me as an artist in my designs for Captain Morgan Spiced Apple. From sketching ideas all night in my tiny apartment, to watching my colorful mural being painted across a building, this project has brought me so much joy! Connecting with people in passing, connecting with my community, and connecting with the city is what is at the core of my work. My murals for Captain Morgan Sliced Apple represent all people coming together to celebrate their passions and contribute to the pulse of the greatest city on earth.”
