Palace Resorts has announced a joint partnership with world-renowned Chef Massimo Bottura to bring The Osteria Francescana Experience to the Mexican Caribbean. Known as one of the Top 50 Chefs in the world, Massimo Bottura will bring his culinary talents to Moon Palace Cancun for only two exclusive nights, on August 18th and 19th 2018. Proceeds from this upscale dining experience, in partnership with the Palace Foundation, will go to Food for Soul, Massimo Bottura’s non-profit organization that creates and sustains community kitchens around the world to raise awareness on the issues of food waste and social isolation.

The message launched by Bottura’s organization and sustained by the Palace Foundation sheds light on the contemporary issues of food wastage and food insecurity as two sides of the same coin. With over 800 million people undernourished, still one third of the food produced every year goes to the landfill. Instead of viewing surplus ingredients as waste, Bottura sees them as a gift we can all transform for a greater good.

As the leader of the luxury all-inclusive space, Palace Resorts has proven its commitment to elevating the brand’s culinary offerings by partnering with some the world’s greatest brands. Now having the privilege, to align with one of the top culinary masters in Italian gastronomy, chef Massimo Bottura, the company brings elite culinary experiences from around the world to its guests.

“As we continue to position ourselves as the leader in the luxury all-inclusive space, Palace Resorts continues to form strategic alliances with brands that take us to the next level,” said Jabib Chapur, Vice President of Food & Beverage for Palace Resorts.  “In this case, partnering with Massimo Bottura was a natural fit given that both brands share a love for top-tier culinary experiences, along with a passion for giving back, to communities. Bringing these events to Moon Palace Cancun is a testament to our commitment to bring guests unique culinary experiences from all over the world, right to their vacations, while at the same time, raising awareness within communities that need a voice.”

“The spotlight is on chefs today so they need to use that energy to promote change. Reaching out and getting everyone in the community involved is the first step to making change. But it’s not only about chefs: everyone can do something, because we’re all in this together. Cooking is a call to act,” said Bottura.
